What is Ramen?

Ramen is a very popular Japanese noodle soup. Ramen noodles were originally Chinese style noodles but have evolved over the years to have a firm chewy texture. They are served in broth often flavoured with soy sauce or miso and accompanied with toppings such as sliced pork, beef, prawns or chicken. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen.
