March is the International Month of Endometriosis Awareness. Inline with this the Rotary Club of Concord is hosting a High Tea (venue to be advised).
Our aim is to raise funds and awareness for Endometriosis Australia whilst enjoying a relaxing afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings.
Endometriosis or Endo is a common disease affecting more than 1 in 10 women at some stage in their lives. That's over 830,000 women in Australia alone. Worldwide 176 million women suffer from endometriosis. It is a disease that can begin in teenagers and can lead to infertility. Diagnosis can take from 7 to 12 years and there is no cure, so it's very important for women and men to know the signs and symptoms because this is not a disease that affects just women, it affects families and communities.
